Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 18, 2026

HeirloomPhotoCare is a one-person photo restoration business run by me, Glenn Bordelon, in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. This page explains, in plain English, what information I get, what I do with it and what I never do with it.

AI previews on this website

This website lets you upload one photo to see a quick, watermarked AI preview. Here’s exactly what happens:

  • Your photo is sent to Google’s Gemini AI to make the preview. Google processes it under its own Gemini API terms and privacy policy. I don’t keep your photo after the preview is made.
  • Your upload is deleted right away. The photo is held in memory only while the preview is made, then discarded. It’s never saved on this website’s servers, never shared and never used to train AI. The preview image is sent back to your browser and isn’t kept either.
  • One preview per person each month. To enforce this, the site stores a small cookie in your browser (named hpc_pv, kept for 30 days) and a note in your browser’s local storage, and it keeps a scrambled (hashed) version of your internet address for 30 days. The hashed address can’t be turned back into your real address and isn’t used for anything else.
  • Bot protection. The upload form uses simple checks to block automated abuse.
  • If you order, you’ll send your photo again through Etsy Messages. The preview upload is never carried over.

What information I get from orders

  • Your order details from Etsy. All orders go through Etsy. Etsy shares what I need to fill your order, like your name, Etsy username, what you ordered and any notes you write.
  • Your photos. The photos you send me to restore, plus any details you share about them.
  • Messages. Anything you send me through Etsy Messages.
  • Website visits. This website doesn’t use advertising trackers or analytics cookies. Like any website, the hosting service may keep standard technical logs to keep the site running and secure.

Payment

I never see or store your card or bank details. Etsy handles all payments. Etsy’s own privacy policy covers what Etsy collects.

How I use your photos and information

  • To restore, colorize and deliver your photos and your digital family photo album.
  • To answer your questions and send your finished files.
  • I use AI-assisted editing tools as part of the restoration, then I check every face against your original.

What I never do

  • I never sell your photos or your personal information.
  • I never use your photos in my marketing, my Etsy listings, this website or social media.
  • I never share your photos except as needed to do the work (for example, the AI tools above) or if the law requires it.

How long I keep things

  • Preview uploads: not kept at all. They’re deleted as soon as the preview is made.
  • Preview limit records: the hashed address and cookie expire after 30 days.
  • Order photos and finished files: kept only as long as needed to finish your order and answer any follow-up questions, then deleted. Please download and save your files.
  • Order records: kept only as long as needed for taxes and bookkeeping.

If you want your photos deleted sooner, just ask and I’ll do it.

Your choices

You can ask me what I have of yours, ask me to correct it or ask me to delete it. Send me a message through Etsy Messages. You can clear the preview cookie and local storage anytime in your browser settings.

Children

This website and my shop are meant for adults. I don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If I change this policy, I’ll update the date at the top of this page.
