Terms of Service
Last updated: October 18, 2026
These terms explain how this website and ordering from HeirloomPhotoCare work. HeirloomPhotoCare is run by me, Glenn Bordelon, in Thief River Falls, Minnesota.
The AI preview
- The preview is a quick, small, watermarked AI image, offered at no cost, so you can see what a restoration could look like. It isn’t the finished photo, and the finished restoration may look different. Previews are made with Google’s Gemini AI.
- Previews are limited to one per person every 30 days and may be paused at any time, for example when the monthly preview limit is reached.
- Only upload photos you own or have permission to use. Don’t upload photos of other people taken without their knowledge, or anything unlawful.
- Your upload is deleted as soon as the preview is made (see the Privacy Policy). The preview image is for your personal viewing only.
Ordering through Etsy
All orders are placed and paid for through my Etsy shop, HeirloomPhotoCare. Etsy’s own Terms of Use and policies also apply to your purchase, including how payments, cases and disputes are handled. If anything here conflicts with Etsy’s policies, Etsy’s policies win. Nothing is sold directly on this website.
Your photos and your rights
When you send me a photo, you confirm that you own it or have the right to have it restored and copied (for example, it’s a family photo, or you have permission from the owner). The copyright of your original photo stays with whoever owns it today. You may print and share your restored files for personal and family use.
How the work is done
I restore photos using AI-assisted editing tools, and I check every face against the original before delivery. Restoration involves judgment: missing pieces, colors in a black-and-white photo or details lost to damage have to be rebuilt or estimated, so the result is my best faithful interpretation, not an exact copy of what was lost.
Delivery
Everything is delivered digitally through Etsy. Delivery times are shown on each Etsy listing. Your digital family photo album is included with every order. Please download and save your files. I keep originals and finished files only as long as needed to finish your order, then delete them.
Revisions
If something doesn’t look right, especially a face, tell me through Etsy Messages and I’ll fix it. Each Etsy listing shows the revisions it includes.
Badly damaged photos and refunds
I’ll always do my best, but I can’t guarantee the outcome on photos that are very badly damaged, very small, blurry or missing large parts of a face. If I don’t think a photo can be restored well, I’ll tell you before I start. Because the work is custom and digital, refunds are handled case by case through Etsy, following my Etsy shop policies.
Using my work
The restored files are for your personal and family use. Please don’t resell them as your own restoration service. I won’t use your photos in my marketing.
Limits of responsibility
I’m not responsible for loss of or damage to your original physical photo, because I only work from the scan or picture you send. To the extent the law allows, my responsibility for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.
Changes to these terms
I may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you place your order is the one that applies.
